Fitter and Turner

What are you going to do?

As a Fitter & Turner, you will:

• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand how parts and components are designed and how they fit together.
• Measure, cut, and shape metal parts using lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other precision tools to exact specifications.
• Assemble machinery and mechanical systems, ensuring all components are fitted accurately and operate correctly.
• Inspect, test, and maintain equipment to make sure it meets performance and safety standards.
• Diagnose and repair faults in machines, replacing worn or damaged parts as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve machinery performance and support production goals.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following health and safety regulations.

What are you taking with you?

• A Red Seal certification in fitter & turner
• Under 30 years of age
• Previous experience as fitter & turner is appreciated
• Good communication skills in Afrikaans and English, and a willingness to learn Dutch
