Electrician

What are you going to do?

As an Electrician you will install safe and reliable electrical systems. You will be installing wiring, outlets, switches, lighting, and distribution boards in homes, offices, and light industrial settings, making sure every connection is safe and works perfectly. Part of your role will also be maintaining and repairing existing electrical systems, identifying and troubleshooting any issues that arise, and finding practical solutions that keep everything running smoothly.

Clear and friendly communication is key, as you’ll be working with clients and collaborating with other tradespeople on projects. You’ll also keep accurate records of your work and follow all safety regulations and standards, ensuring the job is done right every time. In the beginning stages, a colleague will always be there joining you on projects, this is to ensure communications go smoothly and all quality requirements are met. After you’ve proven you’re comfortable with doing projects on your own, you’ll do them independently if you want to.

Where are you going to work?

You will work for one of our clients specialised in all kinds of maintenance. Think electrical, but also mechanical engineering and environmental development. This is a company with around 50 employees, based in Hengelo. They are happy to guide you along to get a feel of the company and get you settled. Of course you can also count on our guidance, we will help you with anything you might encounter along the way, whether that would be getting used to Dutch work culture, or looking for peers in the region.

What are you taking with you?

• A Red Seal certification in an electrical direction
• Under 30 years of age
• Good communication skills in Afrikaans and English, and a willingness to learn Dutch
• Ability to quickly switch between different projects and activities
