Mechanical Fitter

What are you going to do?

• Installing and assembling machinery: you’ll read technical drawings and assemble machines, ensuring all components are fitted correctly and aligned.
• Maintenance and repair: you’ll perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and repair or replace worn parts in equipment such as pumps, conveyors, engines, and industrial machines.
• Precision measurement and alignment: you’ll use measuring tools, gauges, and laser alignment equipment to ensure machines operate smoothly and efficiently.
• Fabrication and adjustments: you may cut, shape, or modify metal parts to fit machines or to improve performance.
• Testing and commissioning: after assembly or repair, you will test machinery to ensure it functions safely and meets operational standards.

Where are you going to work?

Our client is is a well-established engineering company based in the province of Overijssel, with over 100 employees. They specialize in industrial machinery, factory automation, and mechanical maintenance for clients across the Netherlands and wider Europe. Their projects range from designing and assembling custom machines to maintaining and upgrading existing equipment in factories, warehouses, and processing plants.

What are you taking with you?

• A Red Seal certification in Mechanical fitter
• Under 30 years of age
• Previous experience as mechanical fitter is appreciated
• Good communication skills in Afrikaans and English, and a willingness to learn Dutch
